Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
Private China itineraries are customized around specific dates, hotels, guides, transport, and local experiences. Cancellation terms may vary by confirmed proposal and supplier rules. The policy below is a general website framework; the final confirmed proposal will control if it states different terms.
Before confirmation
There is no confirmed trip until we issue written confirmation and receive any required deposit or payment. General inquiry discussions can be stopped at any time before confirmation.
After confirmation
Once a trip is confirmed, cancellations may result in non-refundable fees, supplier charges, planning fees, bank fees, card fees, or other costs already committed on your behalf. Some hotels, trains, flights, venues, guides, vehicles, or special experiences may be partly or fully non-refundable.
Refund timing
If a refund is available, timing depends on supplier processing, payment method, bank processing, currency conversion, and any required documentation. Refunds are generally made to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Traveler changes
Date changes, route changes, hotel changes, room category changes, traveler number changes, or cancellation of individual services may be treated as partial cancellations by suppliers and may require repricing.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation, interruption, illness, travel delay, emergency medical care, and other unexpected events.
Force majeure and disruption
If a trip is affected by events beyond reasonable control, we will try to assist with rebooking or alternatives where possible. Refunds or credits depend on supplier policies and applicable law.
